
Tony Blunda was born in Jersey City, New Jersey. He attended Seton Hall University and received a degree in Business Administration. From there he went on to New York University’s Graduate School of Business and received his MBA. Tony spent four years in active duty in the United States Air Force, Intelligence Service as a Chinese Interpreter, and spent a year in Korea. Tony has been married to his wife, Annette, for 46 years, and they have four children and two grandchildren. Tony began studying the accordion at the age of eleven. He also studied vibraphone and marimba with Phil Kraus at Henry Adler Studios in New York, as well as studying theory, harmony, and composition. Tony has performed with ensembles and full orchestras in the tri-State area for over 45 years, including recording sessions with several 60’s groups. Tony retired from public performance in 1983, and has been instructing students in piano and accordion at Raritan Music Center for four years.
