Policies and Tuition

• Private Instruction:

  • 4 One-on-one lessons are scheduled at a mutually agreed time between teacher and student.

  • Lessons are available in 30-minute, 45-minute, or 1-hour slots.

  • Lesson duration is based upon the students abilities and may increase as the student progresses musically.

  • Parents of younger children may sit in on lessons to help their child practice at home, until teacher decides it’s no longer helpful.

• Recitals/Performances:

  • Students are given the opportunity to perform at annual recitals.

  • Students are introduced to opportunities for local and state competitions throughout the year.

• Choice of Teacher:

  • All instructors at RMC are qualified with varying education and experience.

  • Every effort is made to match students with appropriate teachers based on ability and interest.

  • If the student feels the teacher isn’t a good match, the office will try to schedule with another teacher,

    subject to availability.

• Lesson Cancellations:

  • Students are guaranteed a makeup lesson for any class cancelled with AT LEAST 24 HOURS NOTICE. Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours notice may be made up, but at the discretion of the teacher.

  • Any and all scheduling changes must be communicated with the office. If you have arranged a schedule change with your teacher, please notify the office. Cancellations not communicated with the RMC office will not be eligible for makeup lessons.

  • RMC requires two (2) week notice for discontinuing lessons. The office must be notified by the 15th of the month if you are terminating lessons the following month.

• Tuition:

  • Full tuition is due before the first lesson of every month, with no exceptions.

  • Tuition discounts are available for families receiving more than 60 minutes of instruction per week, or for students who want to prepay for multiple months of lessons. Please inquire with the office for details.
